Sengo lives with a physical disability and since arriving in Australia in 2019 has been an eager and active member of his community and the disability movement.
Sengo has experienced life in refugee camps and is pro-active and passionate about human rights. After experiencing the life changing support and opportunity for personal growth the NDIS has offered him, he is a staunch advocate for and within, his community, for people with disability generally and for human rights led provider practices.
Sengo has been involved in 3 ILC projects on disability awareness raising, cultural connections for CaLD communities, disability rights and employment opportunities for people with disability.
Sengo is currently Disability Community Coordinator for the Congolese Community of South Australia and represents the community on two ILC projects.
