At B-HART, we’ve long been inspired by the Inner Development Goals, a framework that begins with Being and culminates in Acting. It reminds us that true change starts not out in the world, but within ourselves. We cannot lead transformation without first learning to see clearly, think independently, and relate humanely.
Now, the framework has evolved into something even more powerful: the Inner Development Guide. After two years of global collaboration involving over 22,000 people across 194 countries, the new guide introduces two new skills, six renamed ones, and deeper, more inclusive descriptions across every dimension. It’s a vibrant reflection of shared human wisdom - alive, relevant, and grounded in connection.
For us at B-HART, this evolution affirms what we know to be true: transformation is both an inner and outer journey. The Inner Development Guide strengthens our work in human rights–based leadership by emphasising awareness, empathy, and courage as the foundations of change.
“True change begins in ourselves, and the Inner Development Guide reminds us that inner growth is the foundation of outer impact.”
When B-HART’s Human Rights–Based Leadership course launches, these ideas will come to life, guiding leaders to embody the change they wish to see and to build organisations and communities rooted in human dignity and shared purpose.
